When choosing to get married in the Caribbean, the beautiful beaches and Caribbean Sea are likely to be a huge part of the appeal, so we decided to make the most of this feature when designing our resorts and wedding venues. Over-the-Water Wedding Chapel

Our Over-the-Water Serenity Wedding Chapel is one of our most sought-after wedding venues and can be found at four Sandals Resorts: Sandals Montego Bay, Sandals Ochi and Sandals South Coast in Jamaica, and Sandals Grande St Lucian in Saint Lucia. For those after a wedding with a view, an over the water wedding chapel should be your first port of call. This venue boasts panoramic views of the turquoise waters, plus the aisle features a see-through glass floor, so you can feel as though you are walking on water as you begin married life.

INSIDER TIP: The Over-the-Water Wedding Chapels are very popular, so we recommend booking in advance if you are set on this venue.

Over-the-Water Gazebo

An alternative over the water wedding venue is one of our Over-the-Water Gazebos. Much like our Over-the-Water Serenity Wedding Chapel, the gazebos allow you to have the stunning Caribbean Sea as your backdrop while you say “I do”, creating both memories and wedding photos that will be cherished for a lifetime. For anyone who is a fan of a Caribbean sunset, you will be pleased to hear that at Sandals you can request a sunset wedding at our over the water venues, making the setting even more romantic. The Over-the-Water Gazebos can be found at Sandals Grande St Lucian, as well as at Sandals Royal Bahamian in the Bahamas and Sandals Royal Caribbean in Jamaica.

Over-the-Water Suites

The over the water experience doesn’t have to stop at your wedding venue, with our amazing over the water suites ensuring you can spend your whole holiday surrounded by the Caribbean Sea. Our top category suite, the Over-the-Water Villas, are the perfect choice for honeymooners. These in-demand villas offer unrivalled luxury and privacy, with indulgent amenities including your own private pool. These suites even come with your own personal Butler, so if you don’t want to leave your suite (and let’s face it, why would you?) you won’t have to, with your Butler on hand to take care of all your needs.

Another excellent overwater choice is our Over-the-Water Bungalows, which can be found at three Sandals Resorts: Sandals Royal Caribbean, Sandals South Coast, and Sandals Grande St Lucian. These suites boast much the same offering as the villas but without the private pool, however with the sea at your doorstep, you won’t have far to travel for your morning dip.

With plenty of other luxurious accommodation available that's perfect for honeymooners, even if the over-the-water options are not quite what you fancy, you are sure to find something that is perfect for you and your beloved.

Over-the-Water Restaurants & Bars

Our over the water collection even extends to our restaurants and bars, so you can enjoy scenic sundowners and romantic dining above the gentle waves. Our favourite over the water restaurants include Gordon’s on the Pier, which serves up mouth-watering seafood at Sandals Grande St Lucian and Sandals Royal Bahamian, and Kelly’s Dockside which serves a mix of seafood and Mediterranean cuisine at Sandals Halcyon Beach in Saint Lucia, and Sandals Ochi. For bars, make a point of heading to Latitudes° Over Water Bar where you can sip on your favourite tipple whilst relaxing in one of the overwater hammocks for total comfort and unbeatable views. Latitudes° Over Water Bar can be found at three of our Jamaican resorts, Sandals Ochi, Sandals Montego Bay, and Sandals South Coast.

Regular calls with your team will help bring your vision to life as they talk you through all the customisable options, and an in-person appointment once you arrive in the resort will ensure you’re happy with everything.
