Top Tips On Spending Christmas in the Caribbean

Halloween and Firework night have been and gone, now we are in full Christmas mode ahead of the holidays. What better way to end the year than with a trip to a sunny Caribbean island. December is one of the best times to visit our resorts, as the weather is drier and less humid - perfect for escaping the cold U.K.

If you're swapping snow for white sand this Christmas, we have some planning tips we think you might find useful. Ensure you're prepared for the festive madness.

PRESENTS
Your loved ones are going to have the time of their lives in our resorts, but you might want to pack some gifts to open on Christmas day. We suggest carrying expensive, smaller presents in your hand luggage to keep them safe. It might be best to leave fragile items at home on this occasion! We would also recommend that you look up your case weight and size restrictions (these are varied for each airline). This will determine how many Christmas extras you’ll be able to fit in after your holiday must-haves.

TOURS
You're seeing out 2019 in some of the most beautiful places in the world, so why not make every second of this year count? Our amazing partners, Island Routes, provide the most thrilling and exciting excursions for our guests. Experience true island life by immersing yourself in the heart of the Caribbean.

From setting sail to taking part in tasting tours, create lasting memories to take home with you. Grab the reins in the final few weeks of the year and tick something off your bucket list. Find out more here.

PACKING
It might be cold in the U.K but in the Caribbean, you'll be basking in 28+ degree sun! Don't forget sun cream, swimwear, and all your other holiday essentials. We have lots of festive dining options and events during December, so remember to pack your smart attire for those special occasions. Sparkle and suede are encouraged! Our 'Resort Evening' dress code applies to some of our restaurants. We have popped the description below to guide your outfit choices for this trip.

RESORT EVENING: Dress trousers or jeans for men, long or short sleeve dress shirts (with or without collar). Dress shoes or sandals. No shorts, t-shirts, sleeveless shirts, trainers, flip flops or slippers. No hats nor caps.

Whatever you are doing this Christmas, we hope you have an amazing time celebrating and say goodbye to 2019 with a bang! We love seeing your holiday pictures on Instagram, remember to use #SandalsMoment for the chance to be featured on our own page.
