We are now accepting 2022 bookings at our highly anticipated 16th Sandals Resort on the island that puts the “C” in the ABC Islands of the Caribbean. Trust us when we say, Curaçao is truly “where amazing comes together.”

So mark your calendars for April 14, 2022, the day guests can officially enter into Sandals' all-inclusive resort in Curaçao, an oasis known for its Dutch influence and classic Caribbean beauty.

Desired for its unique blend of cultures and colourful architecture, Curaçao locals embrace Dutch culture, architecture, and flavours. With stable, year-round temperatures between 22 and 28 °C, there is no shoulder season in Curaçao. Any time of year, our doors will be open, and our waters warm.

“Pure romance,” that’s how Sandals Resorts’ Executive Chairman Adam Stewart describes the new property. “Sandals Royal Curaçao is situated on 44 acres within the impressive 3,000-acre Santa Barbara estate. Guests will be able to hike, bike, star gaze and pick-up a picnic basket to fuel days of discovery and exploration,” says Stewart, “Guests can also continue this adventurous spirit beyond our gates where they will find a world-class destination of renowned heritage sites, art, great restaurants, fascinating locals, and visitors from all over the world. We’ve invested an additional $72 million in enhancements and improvements to complete the ‘Sandalization’ process of this already stunning property, and we can’t wait for our guests to be in awe.”

Our eighth Caribbean destination, the island of Curaçao is home to seventy dive sites and exotic marine ecosystems. Our new resort will be home to 351 luxury rooms and suites, expansive new pools, two onsite marinas, and the largest meeting space on the island, clocking in at 38,000 square feet.

The resort will introduce The Duchess, Sandals’ first ever floating restaurant and bar, constructed from a 92-foot authentic Dutch ship, atop sparkling azure seas. Alongside our fan-favourite room categories, Sandals Royal Curaçao will boast two new luxurious suite categories, the Awa Seaside Butler Bungalows and the Kurason Island Poolside Butler Bungalows.

Another Sandals “First,” guests in these debut suites will receive the keys to a complimentary convertible MINI Cooper, their very own stylish and sporty transportation to explore the island.

In Curaçao, take your flip-flops through a selection of the island’s thirty-five white sandy beaches, each with a personality and flair of its own. Playa Knip, Playa Lagun, Klein Curaçao, and Playa Porto Mari are just a few of the options lining the 171-mile island. With so many options on one quaint island, the chances of walking onto your own private beach are delightfully high.

Off the beach, walk Aloe Vera plantations, learn about local herbal remedies, stop by the largest ostrich farm outside of Africa, and kick back at authentic roadside bars tucked into the island’s winding roads. Romance and relaxation aren’t exclusive; adventure is a worthy aspect of any romantic holiday. For a fresh adrenaline rush, jump on high-speed ATVs and venture through the island’s rugged terrain before parking and exploring ancient temples under the stars.

With a slew of year-round events, you just might stumble into one of Curaçao’s classic festivals celebrating the island’s history and culture with good music and better company. Here, you’ll taste Curaçao’s most popular dishes- Keshi Yena, a large ball of cheese stuffed with spiced meat, or Oliebollen, the Dutch doughnut.
